Netherworld cascadian dark ale

Flying moneys craft brewery  Netherworld cascadian dark ale.  barrie ontario  6%abv

pour: black with a 2 finger fluffy head that levaes lacing

Smell: dark chocolate malts and piney grapefruit hops

Taste: dark chocolate malt with tangy citrus medium bitterness

mouthfeel:  medium body  medium to high carbonation.  a sipping beer  not one to chug.

Thoughts:  a nice balance of malts and hops. big flavor and a good price.  4/5

steam whistle pilsner

Round house brewing's steam whistle pilsner  500ml can 5%abv

Pour:  pale yellow with a small head that dies out fast. but leaves a soapy lace

smell: not much smell asides from that lager smell.

Taste: tangy metallic malt faint earthy hops.  classic lager

Mouthfeel:  thin  low carbonation easy to drink.

thoughts:  bland but easy to drink  not disgusting by any stretch  2/5 if put against most beers  but for it being a Canadian "pilsner" or lager  i'd give it a 3.5/5 in its style.  second favorite lager/canpils after barking squirrel.

2009 Snow Dragon -jas-etea

today i'll be using up the last of my snow dragon for you guys.  I got it 2 years ago or so from Jas-etea  and as it stands the tea is no longer available from him  and so i have no info on it.  asides from it was marketed as a green.

ammount  5.6g in dayi gaiwan 80c

First infusion: 2m

slightly tart  but it has a earthy mineral bitterness to it

Second infusion: 1m

along with the mineral bitterness there's a slight green Sheng dryness to it.

Third infusion 1:30s

flavors the same.  gona stop here.

Thoughts:  in other times i'v had it it's been nice but that was ages ago so sitting in its plastic bag may have killed the flavor of it  and that its 4 years old so at this age and this storage method did not do good for this tea.  If Stephen decides to carry this tea again i'd be willing to come back to it and give it another chance.

moral of the story.  drink your tea when its fresh :(

Rosita Blonde

So off to a bad start with this beer.  Opening the bottle caused a head explosion. maybe i didn't leave it chill long enough after i took it out of the car.  well anyways the beer:  blonde ale 5.5% abv

Appearance:  Hazy yellow blond with a 4 finger head.

Smell: Some sort of citrus and hops rather light smell.

Taste: Some sort of spice or citrus then alcohol warmth.  not really any malt or hops jumping out at me a slight metallic grainy aftertaste also has pumpkin seeds on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium to high carbonation bite. thin body,  drinks fairly easy

Final thoughts: An ok beer tasty enough but not too unique has some off notes  but better than a domesic macro.  2.5/5
